Philip and Tracey and Come Dancing Ontario

are proud to welcome New Student Teachers:

Francois and Melody Vallerand

Francois
François & Melody are a husband and wife dance team who have been Ballroom Dancing since 2001. Ballroom dance lessons were a Christmas gift from François, and to this day Melody maintains that it is one of the best gifts she has ever received. Since that first lesson, they have joined the London Ballroom Dance Club, and continue to be coached by Tracey and Philip Worrall at the Come Dancing Ontario Dance Center.

In 2004, they began the Canadian Ballroom Dance Association medal program and have been awarded bronze, silver, and gold medal accreditations in Latin Dance (Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Jive and Paso Doble) and Standard Dance (Waltz, Quick Step, Foxtrot, Tango and Viennese Waltz). They are hired annually by the Town of Tillsonburg to perform during the Canada Day Festivities and at various public and private functions. In 2006 they performed several dances during The Otter Valley Playhouse production of “The Best of Beechey”, which ran for 8 nights. They enjoy teaching the beginners ballroom classes in Brantford, and Melody sometimes teaches the Ladies Latin Dance Classes in Tracey’s absence.

Melody and François devote an average of 10 hours a week to dancing. They also manage a very busy household; together they have 5 children whose ages range from 14 to 21 years old. Some of the kids have taken an interest to dancing and are taking lessons from Mom & Dad.

François and Melody both work full time; François at Otter Valley Foods Limited in Tillsonburg and Melody at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital in St. Thomas.  Dancing, however, remains their passion.
